Loïc Badé, Rubén Vargas and Dodi Lukebakio spoke after the draw against RCD Espanyol. The goalscorer was the first to speak: “We wanted a win and the goal helped us get back as the game went on. We wanted to get the three points, but we have to keep working and go for Getafe now”. Regarding what might have been missing and the future, the Frenchman commented on the importance of continuing to improve: “I think we could have done more today, we could have improved many things, but we have to learn and keep working. There are many games left to improve, so we have to keep going."
Rubén Vargas also felt the team deserved more out of the game: "We are sad because we did not win the game. I think we deserved it. I think we were unlucky today but we have to be positive for our upcoming games." He also spoke about how he felt after his first game at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán: “I'm very happy to have played my first game at home. I want to help the team win. Today it wasn't possible but we have to stay positive."
Finally, Lukebakio spoke after the draw: "It was a difficult game with a lot of intensity. In the end, we didn't lose, which is the most important thing. We missed out on the win but we have to keep working. Our mentality was good, the energy was good but I think we need to work better to score more," added the Belgian. To close he focused on our upcoming game: "We must rest and train well next week to win our next game."
