Isaac Romero spoke ahead of El Gran Derbi on Sunday night. On what the game means to him he said: "I live it with the passion with which it is lived within the city and what this game means to us. I have been lucky enough to play in a derby this season and last year before my injury. My favourite one was the win earlier this season. You always have that aim of beating your city rival and it is a great feeling to have experienced it first hand."

On his first taste of a derby in Heliópolis, he commented that “these are things that happen. I didn't have any problems that week and it was something that happened early in the game. It's something that could happen to anyone but I've still got that nagging feeling. This season I was able to enjoy it more and I was happier with that victory. I left the pitch when we were winning, are there was still some time left and I felt that tension with my teammates. Taking a step back, it's a dream to play in El Gran Derbi and experience it first hand."

"I live it with the passion with which its is lived in the city and what this game means to us"

Regarding what Sunday's game means, Isaac believes that “we could define it as the most important game of the season in LALIGA. We are two teams from the same city, it is lived in a different way and with a lot of desire. Each team is going its own way, but for us it is very important because we want to give ourselves and the fans that joy. Winning a derby means that people see you in a different way, talk about the team in a different way. We are focused and we will try to give our best."

Now it's time to play away: “I prefer to play at home because of the atmosphere and the fans we have, but there you know that everyone will be against you and that makes you more motivated. We have to think that we are doing well away from home this year, but we have to go to every game the same way, whether it's at home or away, whether it's a derby or not. Those who have played more matches like this know what they mean for the club and for the people. Others who have arrived new may not have the same feeling, but we will make sure that everyone knows what this match is about and that they help us to get the victory. We all have to be on board, but we are calm, because we know that everyone will contribute."
