The Argentine emphasised that "the other team had moments of superiority for seven or eight minutes in the second half, but the rest was ours"

JorgeSampaoli analysed the match against Real Sociedad and regretted that his side dropped two points in a match they dominated: "it was an important match for us, the other side had moments of superiority for seven or eight minutes in the second half, but the rest was ours, we didn't have the effeciency needed to avoid the draw. We searched relentlessly, the team have taken the idea of dominating on board, we searched from the first moment until the last".

Sevilla created a number of chances, however, once again the efficiency was missing: "Football is about how many goals you score in the opposition's box, in 90 minutes we had nine or ten chances. By searching for it we're going to find some defensive instability in the opposition, apart from the fact that they will have chances. Today the other team's level of efficiency was very high, out of two chances they scored one, like Málaga. They were more clinical".

Speaking about the fight for third place, he commented that "third place has become very difficult... the greatest pain is for someone to search so much for something and not find it. With the commitment that there is within the team for the shirt, it hurts me for a team that deserved to win not to".

And on the aim of tying up fourth place, "we have to fight to get the team into the best position possible... We have a match against one of the best teams in the world, we're only thinking about that match and afterwards, the last one".

Vitolo was in the starting eleven, and he "withstood too much. The most normal thing after an injury is for him not to play. The implication is that we have to get the team as high up as possible with the options we have, that's why it hurts so much".

Asked about the lack of efficiency up front, he commented that "goals are points, without a doubt, over the course of the year the proportion of chances to goals is low, but strikers have streaks. Gameiro, Luis Fabiano, Bacca surely also found it difficult in their first year and everything takes time".
