The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán has been steadily earning its name as a fortress in recent years, and it goes without saying that it has been fundamental to Sevilla FC's success this year.
Jorge Sampaoli's side are level with Real Madrid as the second best team at home in LaLiga. Zidane's side have put together the same set of home results as Sevilla FC, with thirteen victories, four draws and just one loss. Sevilla's only league defeat at home came in the first half of the season when FC Barcelona came back to win 1-2 after Vitolo's first half strike.
With one home game remaining, the team have already equalled last season's 43 points at home, and are just one point away from the 2014/2015 total, the season which saw the best points total in the club's history. If they beat Osasuna in two weeks' time, Sevilla FC will record their best home points tally since 2007 when they earned 47 points.
Only Barcelona have won more points at home this league campaign
In all competitions, Sevilla are one of only two sides in the top flight - the other being Luis Enrique's Barcelona - to remain unbeaten at home in 2017. That run is made up of a total of twelve games without a loss at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán: ten in LaLiga, one in the Champions League and one in the Copa del Rey. In those twleve games, they have earned seven wins and five draws.
Before their final home game, Sevilla will travel to the Santiago Bernabéu next Sunday looking to secure their place in the Champions League, although they could end up sealing it at home in the final match of the season against CA Osasuna. As it happens, it was at the same stage of the season, at the same ground and against the same side that Sevilla FC qualified for European competition for the first time of thirteen in the last fourteen years.
