Franco Vázquez scored twice as Sevilla dispatched Osasuna 5-0 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Saturday night.
The 28-year-old's strikes were his seventh and eighth goals of the season, and the former Palermo man was happy to end the season on a high.
"I'm happy that we won," he said. "To break the 70 point mark, which was important, and when you score goals you're always happy.
"I think the supporters enjoyed it and that's important. We reached our objective, we're looking forward to the [Champions League] play-off and being in the group stage."
Jorge Sampaoli insisted on high standards despite Champions League qualification being confirmed last week, according to Vázquez.
"The manager made it clear to us, he wanted it to be like a final and we played like that particularly in the first half," he said.
On his own fortunes this season, Vázquez said: "I want to keep improving, I think it was a good season and I hope to be able to do much better next season."
