BANEGA: "THE FUNDAMENTAL THING WAS SEVILLA FC'S PROJECT"

Ever Banega was officially presented as a Sevilla FC player this Monday, along with his compatriot Guido Pizarro. To bring about his return, he admitted, "the fundamental thing was Sevilla FC's project", providing the assurance that "I can bring the same quality to this club, or even more" than when he left. 

Asked about his departure to Inter, he pointed out that "those were new experiences, I don't regret having left... I have a lot more desire and I've come to work as hard as possible for this club". 

He then added: "When you do things you do them following your heart. I felt that it was the right time for me to go, but well that's it, it's in the past. Now it's time to look to the future. I'm here to work, to give it all for the club, for the fans, who have always been good to me”.

Banega additionally indicated that despite what he could read, with respect to possible interest from PSG, "there was never anything concrete, my first choice was always Sevilla. We were communicating constantly and luckily it happened”.

Questioned about Vitolo's continuation at the club, Banega emphasised that "you always want to play with the best and Vitolo is one of the best in LaLiga so hopefully he stays”.
