Having carried out the first training session of the week this morning at the Ciudad Deportiva training ground, Eduardo Berizzo has offered his first official list of players called-up for the Champions League. The team will fly to Turkey first thing on Tuesday morning ahead of Wednesday's match against Istanbul Basaksehir at 20:45 in the first leg of the Champions League play-off.
The Argentine coach is only missing two players, Portuguese centre-back Daniel Carriço, who is recovering from an injury to his right hamstring, and Franco Vázquez, who, despite taking part in training yesterday, is not fit in time to take part. Those ready for action include Sarabia -absent for the Antonio Puerta Trophy- as well as Mercado and Correa, who had to come off during the clash against Roma.
The list of 22 players is confirmed as follows: Sergio Rico, David Soria, Juan Soriano, Mercado, Corchia, Kjaer, Pareja, Lenglet, Escudero, Sarabia, Nzonzi, Pizarro, Krohn-Dehli, Banega, Ganso, Borja Lasso, Montoya, Jesús Navas, Muriel, Ben Yedder, Nolito and Correa.
