The second day of work this week for Sevilla FC, in a morning session where the notable addition was Steven Nzonzi. The Frenchman, who missed the Getafe owing to niggling injuries, did not train on Monday either after after receiving official permission from the club. Eduardo Berizzo was not at training, having travelled to Nyon for the UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum. Youth players Brian, Matos, Pozo and Carlos Fernández trained with the First Team.
Our seven internationals were naturally absent too, and from this Thursday will have a demanding schedule. The session consisted of almost half-an-hour of gym work and then physically demanding work on the field. In fact, the players made use of the incline between pitches 3 and 4 to do sprint races. This Thursday, there will be another closed-door session at 9:30am in the Sports Village.
