MURIEL: "WE ARE GOING TO FIGHT TO BE ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE"

Luis Muriel, after scoring the goal for Sevilla FC in their victory in Girona, discussed the victory of the team: "It is an important victory. The manager is rotating the players and the result of this continues to be the same. What's important is that each player that sets foot on the pitch does his job well and helps the team as we have done so today". 

Regarding the objective of Sevilla FC in La Liga, Muriel responded que "it is a dream to be able to fight so high up. We have to compete against two opponents, such as Madrid and Barcelona, but of course we are going to strive to win". Subsequently, already in the press, he discussed how "it is a joy to be able to at last score and it gives us the three points in a difficult field. Being the first of many, the goal has lifted a weight off. I tried many times, one on one, the foul, and at the end it went in and what is important is that we are happy with the three points. It is a field whereby it is going to be difficult to achieve the three points as we have done so today".  

Finally, he referred to the controversial collision between players: "Fortunately, they missed the penalty because, for us, it had been awarded unfairly. The manager congratulated me for the work I am doing and he told me that he is sure that many more successes will come my way. I am not a forward striker like Wissam in the area but I needed to score".
