The first question was clear: did Eduardo Berizzo think it possible for Sevilla to win in the Camp Nou? The boss was just as clear in his answer: "We can win every game. Of course, we're up against a great opponent in their own stadium but if we're talking about my personal experience and my mentality before these games, I always think we can win. We need to be good in a lot of areas but we have the weapons to do so".
On the opponents, he reflected on their supposed crisis and the work of their coach: "These days attention is put on what you don't do rather than what you do well. There's always a will to criticise, if you win and play badly because you've played badly, if you lose and play well because you've lost. Eyes are becoming very sharp when it comes to team's performances. We struggled too and now Barcelona, but what a blessed crisis. They've found the resources to cover the absence of Neymar. Their coach has engineered a way of solving that problem whilst maintaining offensive veracity and not losing defensive solidity. It's a difficult challenge but stimulating because of the stage and the opponent, but we need to impose our own game".
"Valverde has found the resources to cover absences like Neymar"
On injuries, he confirmed his squad-list: "The only one ruled out is Mercado, because Sarabia and Banega ended up exhausted against Spartak but they trained very well today and they're in a condition to play".
The coach has a clear gameplan in mind: " I want a high-pressing Sevilla, which dominates because I don't like feeling dominated. We have to put all our effort into making Barcelona feel uncomfortable because if they dominate we'll struggle. In that sense, it will be a long game for us and we'll need a good defensive display. I prefer to press in the opposition half and that's what I want to do tomorrow".
