Eduardo Berizzo was left with a bitter-sweet taste in his mouth following his return to the helm of Sevilla FC: "I never really felt bad but after some serious difficulties, in the end, I'm happy to return to be with the team. It had to be, we came off a loss, today perhaps we lacked the football. There was more effort than football but we couldn't win it. But we have to move on".
"They closed us down well and there wasn't so much rhythm in the game"
For the manager the team showed "a brave and risky mentality. Intense, professional, but we lacked the spark that a lot of the time unlocks matches. It didn't come today. We tried in the second half but they closed down really well and there wasn't such a high rhythm in the game. Maybe it lacked creativity in attack we needed to not depend on anyone. We go away with a draw we didn't want but we have to keep working".
"In attack we didn't have that quality we're used to"
The intention, the coach admitted, was to leave behind the taste left after the Real Madrid loss, which was "a bad match, it wasn't a great performance. We already know that and today the team had the attitude for revenge but lacked the football that a lot of the time lies at the players' feet. We could have opened the game; they also attacked but with little threat. In attack we didn't have that quality we're used to. We pick up a point".
