Sevilla FC coach, Vincenzo Montella, appeared before the press extremely satisfied following this Sunday's match against Girona FC: “We've bagged three precious points earned with blood, sweat and tears - it was a tough match and I am pleased with the victory. We also had several opportunities, Sarabia had a couple...We should've picked up our game in the last part, but I'm happy and Rico has most certainly helped us bag the victory today. I'm happy for him because he's really helped us get those 3 points. Now he'll play more at ease".

On a personal level, he confessed "it was a struggle, but I always thought we could have scored another goal because we had plenty of opportunities to do so. Now we've got 6 days to recover and prepare ahead of the next match. It's really important that the player use this week to recover both mentally and physically".
