Tests undergone by Gabriel Mercado this Monday, who was substituted off during the derby due to back pain, have revealed no injury. However, the player will be treated this week and will train in the gym. He will be ruled out of this weekend's clash against Alavés for precaution in light of there being nothing to play for.

Mercado, alongside Éver Banega and Guido Pizarro, have made the provisional World Cup 35-man squad under the management of Jorge Sampaoli.
