This Thursday will mark the start of the Russia 2018 World Cup, set to be held at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. The tournament will begin with a match between the host side and Saudi Arabia. However, Sevillista representatives will not take to the stage until the Saturday, a matchday whereby up to four of the Nervión side players could step out onto the pitch in Russia. It will be a day full of football, with up to four matches, starting with France vs. Australia from midday. The French side arrived in Istra on Sunday, north west of the Russian capital where they have set up shop for the group stages. Chelsea player, Ngolo Kante, looks to be favourite for the starting squad, however, after Nzonzi's impressive performance during the friendlies, he will be taken into account.

The second Sevillista that could take to the stage is in fact a duo. Argentinians, Banega and Mercado, will face Iceland at 15:00pm at a venue familiar to them both, the Otkrytie Arena, home of Spartak Moscow. The Argentinian side arrived at Bronnisty on Saturday evening, 60km southeast of Moscow. For this match in particular, it is looking likely that Mercado will make the starting squad.

Nzonzi, Mercado and Banega have already touched down in Moscow, whilst Kjaer, Layún and Muriel are set to arrive Monday

It is also looking highly likely that Kjaer will also make his World Cup debut for Denmark this Saturday, as his side looks to take on Peru at 18:00pm at the Mordovia Arena of Saransk. It's not looking unlikely that the Danish captain, Simon Kjaer, will be amongst the starting eleven under coach Age Hareide. Denmark are travelling to Russia this Monday. A day later Mexico will take on defending Champions, Germany, at 17:00pm.

Finally, Colombia will be the last team to make their debut. The match is scheduled for Tuesday the 19th of June against Japan at 14:00pm in Saransk. 400km away in Kazán, José Pekerman's selection will locate themselves this Monday as they travel from Milan. However, a place for Sevillista striker, Muriel, in the starting eleven will not come easy with Radamel Falcao in the ranks.
