Sevilla FC and Lazio have agreed the transfer of Joaquín Correa to the Italian side, with the Argentine winger travelling to Rome to pass a medical and compete a contract signing. Correa will return to Italian football after arriving in Nervión in 2016 from Sampdoria.
In his two seasons with the Nervionenes, the young attacker played 47 La Liga matches (scoring five goals and making two assists), 12 Copa del Rey matches (eight goals and three assists), 13 Champions League matches (two goals and four assists) and one match in the Spanish Super Cup. Correa also debuted with Argentina in his first season as a Sevillista, with whom he has played three matches and scored one goal. Sevilla FC wishes him the best of luck in his new adventure.
