Sevilla FC have made an agreement in principle to sign Aleix Vidal from Barcelona, with Vidal joining for the next four seasons. This will be Vidal's second spell as a Sevillista.

Vidal first signed for Sevilla in the 14/15 season, when joining from UD Almería and quickly filling a space on the right wing under the management of Unai Emery. Though he came in to occupy an attacking spot on the right-hand side, he would soon be converted to an attacking right full-back. He would debut in the European Super Cup Final in Cardiff against Real Madrid. He would go on to make four Copa del Rey appearances, 31 La Liga appearances - scoring four goals and making seven assists - and eleven UEFA Europa League appearances, including a title winning effort in Warsaw in 2015. In the very same campaign, Vidal would star in the first-leg of the Club's tie with Fiorentina (scoring a brace) and would contribute four assists.

His magnificent performances in his first season at Sevilla FC led him to a debut appearance with the Spanish national side in a friendly with Costa Rica in London. This awoke the interest of FC Barcelona, who he joined in the summer of 2015. He has stayed with the Catalonian side for three seasons, playing in 30 La Liga matches (scoring three goals and making four assists), 14 Copa del Rey fixtures (one goal and six assists), two Spanish Super Cup fixtures and five Champions League fixtures (one assist). In his three seasons with Barcelona, Aleix has added two league titles, three Copa del Rey titles and one Spanish Super Cup title to his footballing CV.
