The manager of Sevilla FC, Pablo Machín, did not want to analyse this latest victory against Sigma this Thursday in Nervión, but looked back and took stock of everything that has happened to get to this stage: "We have to do carry out an overall analysis so that no one forgets that we got through three knockout rounds and many different circumstances. We passed these tests valiantly, and as a team, even in moments of doubt when the opposition was pressing us. It's already an achievement to have passed these tests. We have to recognise that, that was the important and, from my point of view, inescapable objective. We're delighted to have put Sevilla where they belong".
"We played teams that were very tough, teams that were very well prepared, physically aggressive, often dominating the direct plays and the second balls... and we had to show that our players had more quality", he added.

A victory that, according to Machín, gives his team even more confidence: "These results give the team confidence. We are competing, with the chance of winning all the matches, and that is the path. To be a solid and competitive team. There will be moments in which we are close to victory, but we will always show that we are there to fight for it".
And now it is time to do just that this Sunday at the Benito Villamarín: "It is the match of the city of Seville, the supporters are very invested in it, and what happens on the pitch has consequences for the day to day life in the city. We want to keep making our fans happy and it's all about being a competitive team and having a clear game plan to get the win", he concluded.
