Sevilla FC, who secured a third consecutive league victory on Saturday and the fourth win in a row if you count the Europa League match against Standard, are in historic form in terms of goal-scoring. With three goals on Saturday in Eibar, Pablo Machín's team have managed to hit the back of the opposition net twelve times in the last three league fixtures - against Levante, Real Madrid and Eibar.

Similar figures have not been seen since the 1954/55 season. Sevilla FC have not managed twelve goals in three league matches since those days, when they scored thirteen goals, against Valladolid (2), Real Sociedad (5) and Hércules (6), on match-days 18, 19 and 20.

Sevilla FC have accumulated 12 goals in the last three matches on the league, something that has not been done since 1954/1955

But the numbers being achieved by the team from Nervión do not stop there. Sevilla FC have not won three consecutive matches in La Liga since March 2017. Furthermore, with seven league matches played they have a goal difference of +9, which is the second best in the league, with 16 goals scored against 7 goals conceded.

Another significant statistic is the ability of Machín's squad to win points away from the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. The 2014/2015 season was the last time they picked up three wins from their first four away matches in domestic competitions, something that has troubled the team in recent campaigns.

With 15 official matches played, Sevilla have notched a total of 38 goals, averaging more than 2.5 goals a game.
