The first two internationals who were on show had important roles on Thursday night when Argentina played their first friendly in Saudi Arabia and Portugal looked for their second win in their group in the UEFA Nations League. Both players were in their respective starting-elevens, with Franco Vázquez playing the first 45 minutes in Argentina's rout of Iraq. Argentina ran out 4-0 winners, with goals by Lautaro Martínez in the first half and by Roberto Pereyra, Pezzella and Cervi in the second. Pereyra himself replaced Vázquez after the break.
On the other hand, another goalscoring performance from André Silva, who continued his good form with Sevilla tonight in Poland. It was an important match to continue to compete for top spot of their group in League A of the UEFA Nations League. Although the Poles went ahead through Piatek very early, the Sevillista equalised on the half-hour mark with a good right-footed shot in the six-yard box after Pizzi's pass. From there the Portuguese hit back with an own-goal by Glik and a goal by Bernardo Silva, although the lead was halved by a goal from Blaszcykowski and the match finished 3-2. Portugal who have a friendly against Scotland ahead of them, end the first phase of the group five points ahead of Poland and Italy.
