BANEGA: 'WE ACHIEVE EVERYTHING THROUGH HARD WORK'

Éver Banega, happy after the win against SD Huesca, highlighted the collective work of the team

Éver Banega, like his teammates, highlighted the difficulty of the match which Sevilla FC managed to win through patience and hard work: 'We needed the points, we were playing at home and we knew that the match would be difficult and that the opponents would sit back, but we also knew that we would be able to make up for it with our play. They needed to win and they waited for us to give the ball away. We kept fighting, getting our head down and working hard. We're not the most powerful team, and everything we achieved is based on hard work. And that's where our strengths lie.'

Both on a collective and individual level, 'as long as the collective effort is to help the team, the individual performances will come on their own. This works because we're a family.'

To finish, Banega spoke about their next opponents, Villanovense in the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey: 'They will come into the game with lots of motivation. We have to be humble, respect them and they're definitely going to make it difficult for us.'
