PEDRO BERRUEZO PRESIDES OVER OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH FOR 18/19 SEASON

The shoot for the official photo for the 18/19 season was an emotional occasion, as the club paid homage to Pedro Berruezo, with his family and many of his former teammates present.

Sevilla FC shot the official photograph for the 18/19 season on Wednesday morning. The photo was taken in front of Gate 10, in front of an image of Pedro Berruezo, which has adorned the outer wall of the stadium since the start of this season.

The club wished to pay homage to their former player, who passed away in 1973 after collapsing while playing for Sevilla in Pontevedra, in the same way as they did in the 16/17 season with the image of Antonio Puerta, when the squad took the official photograph in front of gate 16.

The shoot for the official photo was a moving occasion, as Pedro Berruezo's wife, children and grandchildren took part, all of them very emotional as they gazed up at Pedro on the outer wall of Gol Sur, 45 years after his death. Alongside Berruezo's family were many of his former teammates such as Pablo Blanco, Curro Sanjosé, Enrique Lora, Súper Paco, Eloy Matute, José Catalán, Yiyi and Paco Gallego among others.
