ROQUE MESA: 'SOMETIMES THINGS DON'T GO FOR YOU NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY'

'We have to apologise, we were not good enough and we have to look forward,' stated the midfielder

The Canarian midfielder, Roque Mesa, attended the media to analyse the team's defeat against Celta: 'It was a strange game, a tough one. We had Wissam's chance but it hit the post. They got their goal and that killed the game.'

The team is currently showing a different side away from home: 'You go through these moments in a season, runs of form are natural in football. Sometimes things don't go for you no matter how hard you try. We have to keep working, it's been a tough week. We weren't clinical in front of goal. We have to turn this situation around and focus on the next game which will be in front of our fans at home.'

The cup defeat could have affected the team mentally: 'It was a tough night, that's true. We wanted to make up for it in the league but it wasn't to be. We have to apologise, we were not good enough and we have to look forward.'

Winning is hard to come by at the moment away from home: 'We aren't having any luck away, we're not doing things well. We have to rest and freshen up.'
