'Now we have the Europa League against Lazio, I think they'll be some great matches because we play similarly,' he said

Franco Vázquez was the guest on SFC TV's 'A Balón Parado' this week. The Argentine, who is in his third season at Sevilla, spoke about the team's and his own personal form, stating 'The game against Barcelona was really tough, it didn't go as we hoped as we were all excited after the first leg. I always say, just like when we lost the Copa del Rey final last year, that you can lose matches but not by this amount and embarrassing yourself, but all we can do is keep going.'

Regarding the game against Celta, he said, 'it was a game without many chances, we were missing the final ball which normally is not a problem for us. In another game we would have scored, and then they ended up getting their goal from the set-piece.'

'We feel very strong at home but we feel under pressure away from home'

Regarding the difference in fortunes at and away from home, Vázquez stated that 'we have to win to keep us in fourth spot which is our objective. We have to be in the Champions League next year. We feel very strong at home, our fans support us and we're solid. We're well organised and we feel confident we can get the win. Away from home things aren't going for us we feel under more pressure, but if we want to stay high up in the league we have to change this and win away from home.'

'I think we're doing a great job this season. Now the Europa League is coming and we hope to get into the next round. Lazio is a tough team, but we're two similar teams, we play quite alike so I think it'll be a great game,' asserted the centre midfielder regarding the upcoming European competition.

'I'm playing further back this year and I can help out more defensively'

The Argentine spoke about his current role in Machín's system, where he has to help our more defensively: 'In the position I've been playing this season, a bit further bit, I help out more defensively by coming back into our half. I think I do run a lot even if I have a more relaxed style, some players are different.'
