Pedro Marcos, Sevilla FC's first technical secretary at the end of the sixties and start of the seventies, has passed away this Tuesday morning. Marcos, who was in charge along with José Ramón Cisneros Palacios, unearthed Sevilla FC's latest hall of fame member, Pablo Blanco, recommending Dan Georgiadis to give Blanco his debut in Gijón, in addition to other mythical players in the club's history such as Curro Sanjosé and Enrique Lora, other hall of fame members.
From 1968-1971, Pedro Marcos had all of Sevilla FC's youth players under his responsibility. All those who shined would have a link with the first team, before making a place for themselves in the team and eventually in Sevilla FC's history books. He was a key figure in both the first team and academy, as well as having a wonderful relationship with the coaching team and directors.
Everyone at Sevilla FC sends their sincerest condolences to Pedro Marcos' family and loved ones. Rest in peace.
