Franco Vázquez attended the media after Sevilla FC's defeat against Valencia CF on Sunday. The Argentine stated: 'It was two similar teams coming up against each other. We did not play well in the first half and they got into the lead through a penalty. We did a lot more after that, we give it everything and had a lot of chances that did not go in,' rued the midfielder.

'The team put in a lot of effort and we created a lot of chances against a strong team in Valencia. The ball didn't want to go in today. Now we have to focus on the next game,' he added.

For Franco Vázquez, we have missed 'a great chance to get into the Champions League spots. We did everything we could to win but it wasn't to be. There are nine matches to go - we have to win, especially at home.'
