Sergio Escudero was interviewed following the win in El Gran Derbi. The left full-back spoke about what the win meant for the fans: 'It's brilliant to beat your biggest rivals. I'm delighted the fans were able to enjoy the match.'

Furthermore, he praised his team's effort: 'We had to be completely focused for this match. When they levelled things up, the fans still kept pushing us on and that really helps us.'

He stated 'it was a very even game. Our pressing was key. Our goal remains to qualify for the Champions League.'
