Jules Koundé has been officially presented as a Sevilla FC player this Friday, only a matter of hours before the squad travels to Germany. The French centre-back, who has already played pre-season matches under Lopetegui, first commented on what he can bring with his arrival: "I think I can bring my passion for the game. I have the quality to run fast. With my experience in top-level matches I think I'm ready to play here".
Asked about other famous French centre-backs who have made it at Sevilla: "I knew Ramí and Lenglet played here and I think this club is a good club to progress and to win and do impressive things".
The new member of the Nervionenses rearguard was questioned about his quality in offering long-range passes, though the youngster said he can still improve in this facet: "It is part of my game to make long passes, but I need to progress in this aspect of the game". Finally, he highlighted his good adaptation to the group: "I have no pressure. I'm very happy to be in this group, I think we will be able to compete well".
