Sergio Escudero, who started on Saturday afternoon against Hoffenheim, was positive about the team's effort, as they came from behind to win. "We've done a very good job, the team we were up against played very well, they've got very clear ideas. We knew we had to recover from the goal and in the end we've played very well. It helps to continue getting minutes before the season starts, to keep getting ready, improving things and correcting our mistakes, today has been a very good test.
ESCUDERO: “WE KNEW WE HAD TO RECOVER FROM THE GOAL”
Escudero also assessed how good pre-season has been for him: "It's been very positive, there's a great team here, the new signings have settled in really well. We're competing in every match, it's good for all of us. Many of the manager's ideas have been taken on board really quickly. Obviously we have to continue working because there isn't a lot of time left and the team needs to improve more".
It's a different pre season to last season's one, in that competitive matches had already begun at this point: "Yes, there were more compromises and we didn't have enough time to work on many ideas. This year, we've been able to work on different situations and correct some mistakes, so it's going well. We've still got two weeks until we start, and the matches will help us to improve".
