CARRIÇO RETURNS TO THE PORTUGAL SQUAD FOR THEIR MATCHES AGAINST SERBIA AND LITHUANIA

The centre back has been called up by the European champions for the first time in four years

Daniel Carriço's good work last season did not go unnoticed by the manager of Portugal, Fernando Santos. He has decided to call-up the centre-half for their matches during the next international break. This means Carriço will be in the European champion's squad for the first time since June 2015, where he made his debut Armenia.

On this occassion, he will travel with the squad to face Serbia on Saturday 7th September at 20:45 at the Rajko Mitic in Belgrade, and Lithuania on Tuesday 10th September at 20:45 at the Vetra Stadium in Vilnius.
