SEVILLA FC LOOK TO MAINTAIN THEIR GOOD HOME FORM AGAINST GETAFE CF

Another Sunday, and another game for Sevilla FC. A week after beating Levante UD, this time it is the turn of Getafe CF to visit the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in La Liga. Historically, they have a been a tricky opponent for Sevilla to face in the top-flight and are currently the seventh placed team who have the better of the head-to-head record against Sevilla.

Sevilla began Matchday 10 in sixth place in the table, with 16 points - with the last three points won in front of the Sevilla faithful. On the other hand, the team who hail from just south of Madrid come to Sevilla on 13 points and in ninth position, after coming of the back of two consecutive wins: in the Anoeta against Real Sociedad (2-1) and away to Leganés (2-0).

Sevilla won back-to-back matches against Espanyol and Granada, and will be looking to pull together another pair of consecutive victories

Speaking of which, Julen Lopetegui's side will be looking to pull together their own pair of back-to-back wins, something which they achieved in the first two games of the season and haven't managed to do since. After beating Real Sociedad and Levante, Sevilla will be looking for their third consecutive home win in La Liga. Additionally, they will hope to carry on their good home record against Getafe; of the last seven games played between the sides in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, five have been won by the home side. However, the two most recent ones haven't been as straight forwards, with a draw and an away win for Getafe respectively. 

José Bordalás's side arrive to the Sánchez-Pizjuán on good form in the league, but with mixed feelings in the UEFA Europa League after falling to defeat, and not even managing to score last Thursday against Basel in their own backyard: something which, if they had at least drawn, would have kept them unbeaten at the moment in the group stages of the UEL. Getafe sit second in their group on six points, three ahead of Krasnodar.

Lopetegui has picked a squad of 19 and warned in his press conference that "Getafe are a well organised side"

In the pre-match press conference, Sevilla FC's manager, Julen Lopetegui, said that "Getafe are a team who know what they're doing; therefore, I'm expecting a very tough game". Lopetegui also announced the squad, for this evening's game, last night in which he included 19 players - meaning he will have to remove one player from the matchday squad.

The game, which takes place on Matchday 10 of La Liga, will kick off at 18.30 in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. The referee for the encounter will be Sánchez Martínez, from Murcia; and Cordero Vega will be the man in charge of VAR.
