Julen Lopetegui spoke to the media after his side's win over Getafe CF in Nervión. The Sevilla manager talked about the importance of the win, whilst dedicating it to the President after the recent death of his father: "Every win is important, and today we came up against a side who knew exactly what they were doing. Today's win was for the President and his family, as we know he is going through a tough time after the loss of his father".
The win was made even more impressive by the fact that they were playing against a very well organised side, Lopetegui thought: "Getafe are prepared to compete in Europe. It was a very tricky game but the team kept at it and we were able to come away with the win". Likewise, Lopetegui was delighted with the way they played in both the first and second half: "I enjoyed the whole game. The game was played almost entirely in Getafe's half, and we knew how to counteract them without losing our impetus in attack. Overall, it was a great game".
To finish off, he spoke about what was coming up for the team: with two tough fixtures in the next week: "This upcoming week is going to be fantastic. We must recover and rest a lot because on Wednesday, such a tough and complicated game awaits us".
