The French defender spoke about the side's efforts but was disappointed at not holding on for three points

Jules Koundé spoke after Wednesday's draw at the Mestalla. The Frenchman, who played at both centre-half and left-back, said the result did not reflect the side's efforts: "We played really well. We led, so we feel like it's two points dropped, because we were playing some really good football and now there's disappointment".

The defender says a lack of concentration cost Sevilla two points, and was one of the negative aspects of last night's draw: "We lacked a little bit of concentration at that free kick. There was a good atmosphere at the Mestalla and in the end they scored. It's a not a bad result, but we're disappointed".

He recognises Sevilla FC were very close to taking home all three points: "We played very well and tried our hardest, we almost won tonight".
