Gudelj, Sevilla FC's holding midfielder, spoke to the media after last night's defeat in Cyprus: "What happened before didn't matter to us. We wanted to win every game and finish the group with a 100% record. It's a shame that we haven'e been able to do it, it's our own fault".
The centre-midfielder said that the team were too rushed in the match: "We lacked patience, didn't play easy passes and didn't keep the ball moving. We had to try and move the ball from side to side to find spaces down the wings. Too many times we tried to play the hard pass, and they waited to hit us on the counter-attack". Even so, Gudelj spoke about the chances created: "We had to put away the chances we created. If we had have done this, the match would have been easier".
