Frederic Kanouté was one of the main guests at the UEFA Europa League draw in Nyon. The legendary striker, with good memories of the competition, was grateful to UEFA for his invite, and spoke about what he is currently doing: "I'm very happy with the invite to the draw from UEFA, I think the draw has worked out well. I'm still doing training projects with young people in Africa and with the Foundation too, I'm following Sevilla FC from afar, they're doing well which makes me happy".
KANOUTÉ: "I HOPE SEVILLA FC CAN DO IT AGAIN AND CONTINUE TO BREAK RECORDS"
He continued to speak about Sevilla FC: "I've been able to watch a bit. Living in England means I can't see all the football I'd like, but I like the team and the balance there is in the squad. There's a lot of quality in a solid squad and I hope they continue playing well this season". He also spoke about his former teammate Jesús Navas, who is still playing in top shape: "He's tireless. I'm very happy with how his career has gone, he seems ever younger".
To finish, he spoke about Sevilla FC's chances in their favourite competition: "You can't hide the fact that Sevilla are favourites, it's a good draw, but you can't trust yourself so you have to go and take it seriously. I hope they can do it again and continue to break records in this competition".
