The latest edition of 'A Balón Parado' was a special one as it celebrated the 130th anniversary of Sevilla FC. Hosted by Roberto Arrocha, the programme had very special guests that have played throughout the years for Sevilla FC, such as: Carlos Marchena, Pablo Blanco, Ramón Vázquez, David Castedo and Daniel Carriço. The guests spoke about the effect that the club had on their lives. Carlos Machena was the first to speak about how much the club cared about its players and employees: "This place is my home, as I grew up here. I'm from Las Cabezas and I came here when I was ten years old. I grew up here and they gave me everything. I learnt many of my values that I hold to this day here. I had to leave when I was very young but the truth is that Sevilla has always been with me, and has went with me everywhere. I never wanted to leave, and I always wanted to come back".
One of Sevilla FC's current captains, Carriço, was happy to be in the history books of the club: "I always say now that even though I wasn't born a Sevillista, I'm definitely one now. When you come here, you get a different sort of feeling, it's something special. It's a club that cares about everyone. It has something different. I've always said that this club has something that makes you win, makes you give that little extra on the pitch and it makes you win trophies. Fortunately, I've been able to do just that. I'm over the moon to be a part of the history of this club".

David Castedo emphasised the timing of coming to the Nervión club. "It was the club that gave me the chance to be able to make a name for myself in football, and to be able to win trophies. We came from Mallorca, and as they say: no one is a prophet in their own land. Most of the time you have to leave your home if you want to be successful. They welcomed me in like any other here in Sevilla, and from the beginning things started rolling and going well. I'm very happy for having chosen to come to Sevilla".
Pablo Blanco, a legend of the club, spoke about how the new players integrated into the day to day of the club: "Everyone who came from outside the club was told what the city was like. We had to make sure they settled quickly and help them understand what the city is like football wise. There's a footballing rivalry and this has to be beaten. It's a friendly city, and a city that lives for football. We try to integrate them as soon as possible into our own history, our own ways of working: the 'Sevillian' way".
Lastly, Ramón Vázquez got emotional when he was speaking about Sevilla FC: "Those of us that are older or not as young anymore, we look at it in relation to what our life has been like. Sevilla hasn't just influenced our lives, it has been our lives. Along with our families and friends, this is what has impacted our lives the most. I don't analyse anything else when I think about every one of my 55 years on Earth".
