José Castro once again took to the floor to open the annual Sevilla FC dinner that incorporates all of the teams. This year; with a change in scenery, the Cartuja Center, the President once again spoke about the enormous ambitions that the club has:
Just like every year, the entire club, all 25 teams, meet to celebrate our anniversary. This year, we are celebrating our 130th anniversary, and we do so whilst going through our best phase as a club... The years have been good to us and they have made us better. As is becoming the norm in the 21st century, we are celebrating our anniversary whilst being positioned high up in the league table, with important objectives, and as a part of the elite of both Spanish and European football. However, we do all of this with the belief that the best is yet to come. We have a five-year Strategic Plan in place, with which we hope to transform Sevilla FC once again. We aiming for a new Sevilla, a Sevilla even more ambitious and strong than before and with better infrastructure. We're creating a Sevilla FC which is digitally one of the best, at the forefront of research and development in the world of football... We're aiming for a Sevilla FC that knows no boundaries. A boundless future for a Sevilla with no boundaries.
Cuerpo Inferior
We have done many things... We have won nine trophies, and out of all the Spanish teams, we have won the third most trophies in the 21st century. In the last 16 seasons, we have qualified for Europe on 15 occasions, we have finished in the top 10 of UEFA's ranking of the top European clubs in the last three seasons, and we're the 24th most valuable club in the world... We have achieved great things, but we want more. And we will continue to always want more. I've always said it, that for Sevillistas, nothing is ever enough. Therefore, our future doesn't have, and can't have boundaries. And it's for this reason that I want all of the youth team players, both boys and girls, to feel a part of our club. You are all our future, and from now on you have to share and respect our trait. And, our trait is that of sacrifice, ambition and above all else, determination to continue improving, even whenever it seems like it's the hardest thing to do.
We keep moving forward with our chests out and our heads held high. We're heading towards a future where we want to win... We're going for more, because that's the only thing we know how to do... We'll be here for a lot more years to come... ¡¡¡VIVA EL SEVILLA!!!
