Suso: "Everyone know that my intention was to come to Sevilla FC"

Suso gave his first interview as a Sevilla FC player last night, after signing, and stated that in the first instance: "it has been a bit of crazy market, but finally I'm here. It's what we all wanted and now, I'm very happy".

At the same time, he made it known that his main wish was to come to the Nervión outfit: "Both AC Milan and Sevilla FC knew it was my intention to come here; it's what I wanted. The last few weeks have been difficult in which everyone has been negotiating, but the most important thing is that I'm here". This is something that Suso confesses that it's always been his intention to play here since he had his first taste of Spanish football: "This has been in the makings for a long time. We tried to make it happen in Summer, but it couldn't be done and it hurt me a little. I played in Spain for a year with Almería, and I've played in this stadium before and, for me, it's the best stadium in which I've played".

As for his objectives, he was ambitious, even though there is still a long way to go. Moreover, he is reuniting with a manager he knows well and whose reunion he welcomes: "What we've seen up until now in my career is the beginning. Now is when I have to kick on and I think I'm in the perfect place to do so. I spoke with Lopetegui and it's better that he knows me than no-one else. I was in all the youth Spanish sides with him, and he gave me my debut in the first team. That's why I say that I couldn't have a better manager at this stage of my career".

To finish off, he talked about his willingness to improve: "I have to improve in a lot of areas. However, as I've said, I'm in the right place with the right manager. My family and I are delighted as we have the same objective".
