Banega thought that the team deserved more than what they got against Alavés

Banega didn't hide his discontent in the mixed zone after Sunday's draw against Alavés: "We didn't get what we came here for. We wanted to win and in the second half, we deserved a lot more. Instead, we leaving with a sour taste in our mouths. We've got to work hard and try to change the dynamic. The cup match was a disaster, a disappointment, but we really wanted to put that behind us today. The team put in a great shift but it didn't work out and it's understandable that the fans are angry".

The last thing the team want to do is lose focus. "We dropped two valuable points, but we didn't show a lack of desire. It just didn't happen for us in the second half, but we have to make sure we work on this and that it doesn't happen again. We must stay humble, work hard and respect everyone".
