Sevilla FC earned a well-deserved point this weekend at the Wanda Metropolitano and reaffirmed their position as third in the league table. At the end of the match, the Nervión outfit had recorded and added to what was an already impressive statistic: out of the 27 matchdays in LaLiga, it was their 26th time being amongst the European places - with 17 of these being in the Champions League spots.
Despite the major changes that happened last summer, with practically a completely different squad to the one of last season, Julen Lopetegui has seemed to have had an immediate effect on the performance levels of Sevilla FC. The club have only been outside the European spots at the end of one matchday - the sixth - in which they were only one place below, in seventh. There's no doubt that the consistency of this side can't be brought into question.
Likewise, with the draw in the Spanish capital on Saturday, Sevilla FC maintained their high level of percantage of invincibility with 77.7%; which corresponds to 13 victories, 8 draws and 6 defeats (three of those coming against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona) in 27 games.
