Sevilla FC will bring LaLiga Matchday 34 to a close tonight. Unlike the majority of the matches since action resumed last month, where the Nervionenses have played the first match, tonight they will play in the final one, as they host SD Eibar at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, the third-to-last home match of the league season.

Julen Lopetegui's men have a huge opportunity to take one massive step forward in the race for Champions League qualification. The Blanquirrojos have 57 points and are in fourth place, meaning a win against the Basque side would take Sevilla FC six points clear of Villarreal and seven points clear of Getafe with just four matches remaining, after both sides failed to win at the weekend - Villarreal were roundly beaten by Barcelona, and Getafe drew away at Osasuna.  Sevilla's only absence tonight is Jules Koundéwho is banned after picking up a fifth yellow card at CD Leganés on Tuesday

Sevilla FC could move six points clear of fifth-placed Villarreal

Regarding Eibar, they come to the Andalusian capital in seventeenth place, just one place above the relegation zone, but they do have a six-point advantage on Mallorcawho have already played this weekend and lost, with four matches remaining. The Basque side are level on points with Celta and Alavés. Manager José Luis Mendilíbar is unable to pick Ramis and Arbilla tonight, who are injured, and Orellana and Escalante are unavailable after their contracts expired

Lopetegui, at his pre-match press conference yesterday, highlighted the good work of his counterpart at Eibar, stating that "they are very well trained, they have a very experienced manager, and they play the same both at home and away". This match marks the first of a decisive week for Sevilla FC, with nine points up for grabs, as they face Athletic Club on Thursday in Bilbao before hosting Mallorca on Sunday.

The match will be played on Monday 6th July at 22:00 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Mateu Lahoz, from Valencia, will referee the match, while Estrada Fernández is the VAR official.
