Joan Jordán and Nema Gudelj were the two players chosen to appear alongside manager Julen Lopetegui at the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow's UEFA Europa League Final. Both players highlighted the "unity" that characterises the team, as well as showing complete confidence in their options tomorrow: "If we go into the match well as we have done many times, we can beat any opponent", added Gudelj.
JORDÁN AND GUDELJ HAVE FULL CONFIDENCE IN THE TEAM'S CAPABILITIES
Jordán was the player chosen to speak first, speaking about the “pride” he feels ahead of playing in a final for Sevilla FC: "I'm very proud to play for this great club, for this great team. We've worked hard throughout the whole year, a beautiful, hard and exciting year. When I arrived here I knew I was coming to an exciting project. From then on, all that was left to do was working hard. We have grown from the first day, until today. Now we have 90 minutes left and we're not thinking beyond them".
Jordán: "It will be a tough match with many details that could make the difference"
Regarding our opponents, Joan Jordán said that Inter are a "very difficult team who we have a lot of respect for. It will be a tough match with many details that could make the difference, so we'll try to get them right. But we are Sevilla FC and we will try to be a recognisable Sevilla side, and show our best side". For Gudelj, who reaffirmed what Jordán stated, he said another key was "going into the match well as we have done many times this season. That way we can beat any opponent. I have full confidence in us tomorrow".
Gudelj: "If we go into the match well, we can beat any opponent"
Gudelj also spoke about the good atmosphere in the squad: "The quality of this team is in the unity. You can see the importance of being a united team many times on the pitch. A lot of new players came in at the beginning and credit goes to the coach and Monchi for making a team as united as this one".
