Marcos Acuña was presented as a Sevilla player this Monday. During the presentation, the Argentinian left-back said he already felt integrated within the club: 'I'm feeling good, I've been treated well right from the start. There's a real group here and that's made me feel comfortable.' Speaking about his first hours in Sevilla, he said 'I spoke with Lopetegui and he explained how he wants me to play. I'm going to work on that. Reguilón did great things for this club and I hope to follow suit.'
ACUÑA: 'I WILL DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO SUCCEED IN THIS CLUB'
The wing-back also spoke about something that all new arrivals to Sevilla talk about - the unity and atmosphere within the dressing room: 'The group is really together. I don't see myself as automatically within the starting XI, I've got to work for that.' Following on, he commented that 'coming to Sevilla has been great. It's a pretty big change from where I was and I want to give my all to achieve big things here.'
'I'm happy to be here and I want to achieve great things here.'
Acuña spoke about what the move implies for his career: 'It's a big step up in my career to come here. My teammates have said great things about the club and I'm happy to be here and help the team.' The biggest sign that he wants to succeed in the club is that he said he's already focused on what's to come: 'Big things are coming and we need to keep our heads and be focused for the future.'
Asked about his fitness, he assured fans he is in great shape: 'I'm not worried about my fitness. I feel good, comfortable and waiting for the right moment to make my debut.' Acuña finished by stating he is available for when Lopetegui needs him: 'I have come to play and win my place. That's up to the manager, but I am ready.'
