The traditional annual team photo was taken on Friday morning

Friday 6th November was the date chosen for an act that takes places every season. It was time for the official first team photo and, as with every season since 2005/06, the photo was not taken on the pitch at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, a place that was the normal site of the photo for many decades. The 2015/16 season was an exception, with the photo taking place on the pitch to show the newly-renovated lower tier of the Fondo stand. On other occasions, the exterior of the ground has been used, with the team photo taking place in front of the entrance dedicated to Pedro Berruezo in 2016/17 alongside the Puerta 16 entrance, or in 2008/09, in front of the Santiago del Campo mosaic.

On other occasions the club has opted for famous places in the city, from the Patio de Banderas to the Plaza de España, the Rectorate of the University, the Parliament of Andalusia, the Puerta de Jerez, the Parque de María Luisa, the Royal Alcázars, the Plaza del Salvador and the Archivo de Indias. This year, such a different year in all aspects and, with the club looking to use a safe and enclosed space, the main facade of the Jesús Navas Stadium, the home of reserve side Sevilla Atlético, was chosen. The photo was taken at the bottom of the newest stand at the stadium at the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios.
