60 MINUTES FOR OCAMPOS IN THE DRAW AGAINST PARAGUAY

A bitter sweet draw for Argentina, who hosted Paraguay in the early hours of the morning at the Bombonera in Buenos Aires in the third match of the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. With Acuña picking up an injury on the eve of the international break, the only Sevillista to feature was Lucas Ocampos, who started for the Albiceleste in an attacking midfield role alongside Messi, playing off the Inter striker Lautaro Martínez. 

The final score was 1-1. Ángel Romero gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot, but debutant Nico González equalised on the stroke of half time. After an hour, Ocampos was replaced by Ángel Di María. Argentina lead the group, but Brazil have a game in hand, against Venezuela in São Paulo tonight.
