After a light training session at the Ciudad Deportiva, Julen Lopetegui announced the 20-man squad for tonight's Cup game at the Ciudad de Lucena stadium, with kick-off at 20:00 CET. The rules of the Cup dictate that in matches against teams in a lower league, you can only have as many substitutes as are available in that team's league. In Lucena's case, a team in the Third Division, they are allowed nine players on the bench. Like in La Liga, five substitutions can be made in three windows.
As Lopetegui mentioned in yesterday's press conference, no injured players return to the squad and some even drop out: Diego Carlos, Fernando, and Rakitić. The team travel to Córdoba this afternoon and will stay in a base close to Lucena until it is time to go to the stadium.
The squad in full is as follows: Bono, Javi Díaz, Aleix Vidal, Koundé, Gnagnon, Sergi Gómez, Rekik, Acuña, Gudelj, Joan Jordán, Óliver Torres, Zarzana, Franco Vázquez, Ocampos, Óscar Rodríguez, Suso, Idrissi, De Jong, En-Nesyri and Carlos Fernández.
