At Friday lunchtime, Sevilla FC will discover who will be their fourth opponent in the Copa del Rey this season. After the victory against CD Leganés in the Round of 32 on Saturday, Julen Lopetegui's men will face another single-leg cup tie, which will be played between Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th January. This will be the first round with matches between top-flight teams, as only eleven teams from that division remain in the cup.
There will be three pots, one with the two Second Division B teams, one with the three LaLiga Smartbank outfits, and another with the eleven LaLiga Santander clubs. Navalcarnero and Alcoyano, the two teams in the third tier, will be drawn first, at home to a LaLiga team. Then, the three Second Division teams will find out their opponents. They will also play at home against a top-flight club.
Finally, the six remaining LaLiga teams will be drawn against each other. In this case, the first team drawn will be the home side. These are the sixteen teams in the draw:
First Division (11): Real Valladolid, Levante UD, Sevilla FC, CA Osasuna, Granada CF, Real Betis, Valencia CF, Villarreal CF, Real Sociedad, Athletic Club and FC Barcelona.
Second División (3): UD Almería, Girona FC and Rayo Vallecano.
Second División B (2): CDA Navalcarnero and CD Alcoyano.
