The squad and the coaching staff wished Papu Gómez a happy birthday at the start of the session

A different week lies ahead for Sevilla FC, who began this sunny Monday with a training session in the morning. This week is different for two reasons. Not only is the Champions League making its return, but the team also have just one match this week. This is, of course, due to the fact that the away league match at Osasuna will take place a week today, on Monday night.

That match against the side from Navarre is still a long way off, so all focus is on Wednesday's Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund. The German side will arrive in Andalusia tomorrow on the back of a 2-2 draw against Hoffenheim on Saturday. Today's training session was the second of three pre-match sessions, and it began with the squad and the coaching staff wishing Papu Gómez a happy birthday, as he turns 33 today.
