Julen Lopetegui was interviewed following the win against Deportivo Alavés: 'We are really happy to break the record and to finish the season well, bidding farewell to extraordinary players who have helped us out on the pitch today. We're happy and content.' Julen was asked specifically about Vaclík who was key in the win: 'It's a great reward for Tomáš. He deserves it because he's had a tough year and he has shown he is a great professional and an even better goalkeeper, a great competitor who kept us in the game with his save.'

'We have a good dressing room. As well as good players, they're great guys who are passionate for their profession. It's normal that at times some are more annoyed that others with their game time. Everyone has behaved in line with the demands of this shirt and this Club. I'm happy with the team's attitude to grow, improve and fight with humility and ambition in both domestic and continental competitions.'

To finish, he was asked how he intended to spend his holidays after such an intense year: 'Thinking about football isn't bad, it doesn't take up energy. You can enjoy the holidays and watch football. It's also important to spend quality time with the family.'
