Erik Lamela, Ivan Rakitić and Diego Carlos gave their post-match reaction to the media after Sevilla FC made it two wins out of two this season. All three players were happy to have taken the three points against Getafe CF.
ERIK LAMELA: 'WE HAVE A GREAT TEAM AND WE WILL KEEP GETTING BETTER'
The game's only goalscorer, Erik Lamela, was the first of the three players to speak to the media in the mix-zone. The Argentine could not hide his delight after the victory: 'We were able to get the three points in the final minutes of the game, which is always a thrilling way of doing it. I'm very happy for the team.' For the second match-day in a row, he spoke of his delight at finding the net yet again: 'I came here to give it my all. I'm obviously delighted that I've been able to kick-start my time here in the way I have, but this is only the beginning. There is still a long way to go, and I, as well as the team, have to improve on a lot of things. We have a great team, and we will keep getting better.'

'Coco' also touched upon the difficulty of finding the win at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez: 'It was a complicated game. They made it difficult for us. We found it difficult to find space and time on the ball. Despite not playing the football we wanted to play, we still won, and that's the most important thing.'
Lamela also spoke about being able to take maximum points from the first two games of the season: 'It's good to be up there. Winning our first two games was the aim for us back in preseason because it's so important to start off well. We've done exactly that, and now we have to continue with this momentum.'
Ivan Rakitić, who made his 200th appearance as a Sevilla player in the game, also spoke to the media to give his post-match reaction: 'It's hard to believe. We played better in the second half, and we were able to be more threatening and create more opportunities. Winning the game was a reward for the hard work, for fighting until the end and not being complacent. We deserved the win, and they are three very important points.'

The Croatian also emphasised the difficulty of coming up against a tough side like Getafe CF: 'The Getafe that we know is slightly different because they have changed coach this year, so their style of play is a bit different. We fought until the mast minute, and the hard work was worth it in the end. They are three very important points. Starting the season with two wins is what we wanted, and it is what this team deserves. We need to continue like this.'
He also spoke of his delight at reaching the 200 appearances milestone as a Sevilla player: 'It's a perfect day for me. Despite being out of action for 11 to 12 days, being able to come back with a last-minute win feels great. I'm delighted, and hopefully I can have many more games and victories with the club.'
The last player to pass through the mix-zone was Diego Carlos, who was equally as happy with the second win of the season: 'A very important win. Before even playing the match, we were determined to fight until the last minute, and to always try and find the back of the net. We did exactly that, we won because we didn't stop in our efforts to score, and we had been working on this all week.'

The Brazilian came close to opening the scoring: 'I'm not annoyed, I just wanted the ball to find the back of the net. The most important thing is the three points, regardless of who scored. The win is the most important. I'm delighted for Lamela and the team as a whole.'
He concluded his interview by speaking of the season ahead, but by always focusing on the next game: 'Personally, I don't like to look at the season as whole. I'm going to continue working and training hard, and taking each game as it comes. We will now switch our focus to the next game to try and do the same there. We have to focus solely on the next game.'
