SHIRT NUMBERS CONFIRMED FOR THE 2021/22 SEASON

The transfer window slammed shut on Tuesday, and all the LaLiga Santander squads are now confirmed. Although teams have been competing since the middle of August, they can no longer modify their squads unless they sign free agents. 

This now means that the first-team squad numbers have been confirmed for the season. There is one change with respect to last season, which is Jules Koundé, who has changed from the number 12 to the number 23. 

As for the new signings, Dmitrovic will wear the number 1 shirt that Vaclík wore, Montiel has chosen the number 2 shirt that Gnagnon had. Augustinsson has the number 3 shirt that Sergi Gómez used last season, and Rafa Mir has taken the newly-vacated number 12. Delaney is the new owner of the number 18, while Idrissi will wear the number 22 that Franco Vázquez had. The number 9 jersey is unoccupied, as Luuk de Jong has joined FC Barcelona on loan. 14 shirt numbers have been assigned to academy players.
